It has launched a new business or got a new job and now is reassessing the results you are currently receiving and all these activities lead to the same place. Sooner or later you'll have to draw a line in the sand.

What I mean by this?

I think for any of us to be effective, successful and give us a fighting chance to get as many goals as possible in life, has to establish what I call its own set of irrefutable. His series of irrefutable include, for what it will take you to do the job. I'm not talking about the windows, the outside peripheral tasks, I am referring to the fundamental activities that are necessary for you to succeed.

We have a realization of all our seminars to help illustrate this point and what really makes many of our people to make some difficult decisions. Here is where you are asked to make some decisions defining moment and draw that proverbial line in the sand. The line in the sand, says these are the tables where I'm going to risk my future, these tables or support me or allowing me to slip between the cracks.

Our exercise of seminars is as follows:

1. Each receives a recipe card blank.

2. They are told to think in what they consider an expert in something they feel comfortable instructing someone else to do.

3. The task can be anything; showing someone how bake a cake, learning to skate, changing a tire on a car, any task of all.

4. Once they took the task now was told to write to the recipe card 3 irrefutable with respect to the task. On 3 irrefutable is 3 different needs that are absolutely necessary for the person who is dealing for be able to successfully complete the task.

5. It is important to see the 3 irrefutable that each person you are collected as the basis on which to build. Participants in The seminar can only choose 3 Foundation building blocks have to be the most basic and that without them in place, will not be able to move blocks Additional or compelling to the next level of complexity.

6. Everyone takes only 3 minutes to score their irrefutable and cards are delivered in.

7. The cards are randomly distributed throughout the room, making sure everyone else gets the card.

8. We know that everyone in the room with a card that has a task at the top of the card and then 3 requirements, the most basic, indisputable fundamental requirements that the successful conclusion joint task.

Now the debates begin. I ask someone to stand up and read the task on top of your card. Let's use a simple one, someone in the room is going to prove that the person to bake an apple pie. Before the person reads out the 3 card irrefutable, the rest of the group, which is to start a list slate. What should be on the list? You have picked the 3 most fundamental, basic building block components for the realization that task. People start saying things like getting the ingredients together, picking apples, picking up a prescription, all good ideas, but too bad.

We irrefutable fundamentals that everything else will be built, without the foundation in place, everything else or just collapse or not even attempted. What should be on our list of 3 compelling to show someone how to bake an apple pie are:

1. Secure a source of heat or other suitable apparatus for bake the cake in

2. Get some apples. But apples are not apple pie.

3. Insurance of any type of ingredients in the crust. If you have no crust of some sort, not a cake.

What is the purpose of picking apples for baking a cake if no oven, no heat actually bake the cake? These are the 3 components that must be present to bake an apple pie.

With these 3 components in place, the next level of activities can take place

This is clearly an exercise to demonstrate a number of things. The most important one is this: what are the irrefutable in its business, your job? What are the baseline, the basic building blocks to deal with on a daily basis? Discover what they are or should be is a fundamental step you must have to really position yourself for success.
