"I can use embossing powder to coat copper jewelry?
I made a copper ring (which is a bit too big) and obviously if I do something that turn my skin green over time. I saw a tutorial that someone made a pendant of a cent. Powder used to implement relief and an image dimension to it. I was thinking it might be able to use embossing powder or any type or enamel as a protective barrier between skin and metal. Has anyone tried this method before?
The cheapest route is to use clear nail polish that works for a while. People who work with copper jewelry in general, use a product called Permalac (Paint) to seal the jewelry they make. Nothing can permanently seal the copper forever, but you can always reapply the coating when it disappears. I draw on jewelry copper, but the enamel I (melting glass into fine powder copper) copper on both sides of copper never touches the skin. That is not a practical answer for people who do not glaze 
but I hope the nail polish solution for you.
