It sludge carcinogenic oil spills?
The discharge of crude oil or liquefied petroleum in the environment causes the oil spills. Oil spills are common in the seas and oceans because of accidents involving oil tankers and ships that result in the release of hydrocarbons into the sea. The Oil spills can also occur due to natural seepage or runoff from the land. Oil spills are dangerous not only for plants and animals but also humans.
An oil spill that occurred on March 11, 2009 in Moreton Island, Australia raised questions sludge like oil spills are considered carcinogenic. Nearly 250 tonnes of oil escaped from the container ship Pacific Adventurer. During this disaster, thrown oil on the beaches of the Costa del Sol, Bribie Island and Moreton Island.
