When making art, do you sign the date of when you began it or when you finished?
This question has been bugging me for so long! lol, let's say you began a painting on May 1st but finished it completely on May 3rd. So, which date would you write on the bottom right section of the art?! May 1st because that's when you began your masterpiece, or May 3rd because that's when you finished your masterpiece and put on the finishing touches?
When I paint I always wait until I'm totally finished, then put my name and the date in the bottom right hand corner.
Sometimes my paintings can take awhile to finish or I lose interest for awhile and start an other and then come back to it later.
I sometimes start with one idea and the painting ends up something different.
So I think it's better to leave the signing to the last thing.
