West Highland

Hollywood is a district of Los Angeles that is bordered on the north by the Santa Monica Mountains to the east by the 101 (Hollywood Freeway) and west by West Hollywood. With the famous Hollywood sign perched on the cliffs of the Santa Monica Mountains, this eclectic section of Los Angeles is home to ancient monuments, a center very touristy and the relics of the film and television industry. Each year more than ten million visitors converge on this area of Los Angeles in the hope to see celebrities and experience a piece of Hollywood history.

The main arteries that cross Sunset Blvd Hollywood and Hollywood Boulevard. Hollywood Boulevard is where visitors can see the entertainment center of Hollywood and Highland, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theater, the El Capitan Theater and several hotels and the Roosevelt Hotel, the new W Hotel and the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel.

The entertainment center of Hollywood and Highland in Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue is one of new attractions for the neighborhood. A multi-level outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment complex, the Hollywood and Highland has a U-shaped structure with the opening final out on Hollywood Boulevard. In any of the visitors can observe the levels of Hollywood Boulevard, Walk of Fame, the Hollywood sign, the jet of water in many sources of land or take in the light of both the Kodak Theater and the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel rising on the back of the complex. The Kodak Theater is at the annual awards of the Academy are now held. Prominently near the entrance of the Hollywood and Highland center and along the Walk of Fame is Grauman's Chinese Theater. Before entering the gates in the theater, visitors from around the world come to get their hands on the concrete traces of the hands and feet to the left of some of the biggest movie stars in the world.

Along Hollywood Boulevard and adjacent to the Hollywood and Highland center stars are pink granite in the village known as the Walk of Fame. Behind the Hollywood and Highland center and parallel to Hollywood Boulevard is Franklin Ave Franklin Ave Outside is a small street that goes into the Hollywood Hills Estates called Outpost. This was one of the settlements of the first celebrity of the first great stars of Hollywood of the 1920s and 1930s. Many of the houses in this area have been renovated to maintain its original look and feel of that era. Today days most of these homes are over a million dollars and many, the further up the road, with stunning views of all of Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles. The regular tour buses departing from Hollywood Boulevard to visitors a complete overview and exposure of this historic area of Hollywood.

La Brea Blvd is the main route south and running through Hollywood. There are many boutiques and dining opportunities along this stretch including the famous Hot Pink dogs. At the intersection of La Brea and Melrose Ave Melrose is where the commercial district begins. From La Brea and Melrose and travels west of La Brea all the way past and Fairfax West Hollywood, Melrose Avenue shopping district is filled with exotic shops selling everything from belts, boots, fashion clothing, lingerie and even movie posters, books and music. Melrose Ave is the first Johnny Rockets is opening there today. In Melrose Ave west of La Brea is the world famous Paramount Pictures studio lot. One latest studies found in Hollywood, Paramount has a long history of producing some of the greatest movie titles of all time. Today this great asset for home study is the daily production time and day time television programs, movies and commercials. Paramount Pictures offered a guided tour of the lot, and visitors can gain glimpses of revealing the inner workings of study just by walking the perimeter.
